BUFFALO–Without a shadow of a doubt, the staff members at the Buffalo, New York, VA are not only very polite but also very skilled in their work. For as long as I can remember, I have been treated with respect and kindness. Security greets a veteran entering the hospital with a smile. Although the layout of the hospital can be intimidating, there is a lot of signage, and people are always willing to help.
Pharmacy
I receive my medication from a well-organized pharmacy that is easy to navigate. The staff are consistently courteous and helpful. If you have questions about your medication, don’t hesitate to ask; they are ready and willing to assist and provide detailed explanations.
Dental
Unfortunately, only service members with a perfect 100 percent rating currently qualify for free dental care, and I don’t think this is fair.
With that being said, the dental laboratory is outstanding, and the representatives who work there are extremely friendly and accommodating. The check-in procedure can be completed more quickly if you choose to receive a text message instead of going to the intake desk when you arrive. You have the option to go to the desk when you arrive. In addition to being knowledgeable, the doctors are pleasant.
Parking
What a challenge! You can take public transportation, which will drop you off in front of the facility. However, parking is available at the Veterans Affairs facility.
