Ron Tebo

My name is Ron Tebo, and I am a disabled American veteran with a VA rating; however, the rating is not critical—you’re important. My passion has always been to help those in need, and this website resonates deeply with me. I have volunteered for our church, volunteered at our local YMCA, and served food to the hungry. I am currently dedicating my time to assisting veterans in need, and it is a gratifying experience.

How it all started

Even though I joined the military when I was 17, I remember my mom asking me if I wanted to before she signed the papers. I attended Fort Jackson for basic training and graduated in December 1980. Following a break, I took a temporary assignment at Fort Sam Houston before moving on to Fort Leonard Wood in January 1981.

Why the website?

In the quiet aftermath of war, many veterans uncover themselves engaged in a different kind of battle—one fought not with bullets, but with memories, shadows, and the invisible scars of service. Ron Tebo, a disabled Army veteran who served his country with honor, knows this fight intimately. His personal crucible, a profound battle with PTSD, didn’t break him; it galvanized him, forging a new mission that continues his service to this day.

Ron’s journey from soldier to survivor and then to a tireless advocate is truly inspiring. Instead of retreating into his struggles, he chose to transform his pain into purpose. This unwavering resolve led him to create and meticulously maintain a website—a digital sanctuary born from lived experience and an ongoing dedication to his brothers and sisters in arms.

This isn’t just a collection of links; it’s a lifeline. Ron’s mission is clear: to provide a powerful platform to support his fellow veterans by sharing valuable insights and resources meticulously curated to help them combat PTSD and other mental health challenges. He understands the unique isolation and complex emotions that can accompany post-service life, and his website serves as a guiding light, offering practical tools, empathetic understanding, and pathways to healing.

From detailing effective coping mechanisms to signposting vital support networks and therapeutic options, Ron’s dedication to empowering others shines through every page. His work is a potent reminder that while the uniforms may be retired, the bonds of service remain unbreakable. In Ron Tebo, veterans find not just a resource provider but a comrade who truly understands, a testament to resilience, and a profound inspiration to all who witness his remarkable commitment to ensuring no veteran fights their internal battles alone.
