It is frightening that I have been diagnosed with PTSD, but being thankful helps shield me from my anxieties and pessimistic thoughts. You learn to make the most of difficult situations, and let us face it, life would be dull without challenges. One soldier I served with at Fort Leonard Wood is among the kindhearted people I count myself lucky to have in my life, and we talk regularly.
