Veteran discount—is it wrong to ask?

First, I want to thank all businesses supporting our veterans. Many veterans like me live on a fixed income, and your generosity is greatly appreciated. Many companies offer discounts to military members and veterans to show appreciation for their service. In this context, a discount can be considered a reasonable request, especially if it’s part of a business’s established policy. When asking, always have your military ID ready for verification and remain calm when asked to present it. Please do not humiliate a business owner if they refuse to offer a discount.
