PTSD can be a silent killer!

It is clear that I am a survivor of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and I am aware of the condition(s) in question; therefore, I am an expert regarding my PTSD only. I am providing links to various resources that can assist those who are in need and information regarding the symptoms.

What is PTSD?

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a serious mental health condition that can develop after experiencing a traumatic event, such as combat, assault, or disaster. While it is common to have stress reactions following such events, it is crucial to recognize that if these reactions interfere with your daily life and do not diminish over time, you are likely facing PTSD and should seek professional help.

What if I have PTSD but do not get treatment?

People who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) frequently believe that their symptoms will disappear after a sufficient amount of time has passed. This might be the case for some people, but not for everyone.

Most individuals who improve without treatment tend to do so within the first year. Therefore, if your symptoms have persisted for over a year, they are likely to remain long-lasting without intervention.
