My fellow veterans, joining the YMCA is a great way for you to take action for your health (mental or otherwise) and well-being! Regular exercise and social interaction can alleviate stress and enhance mental health, lowering the risk of depression. Joining the YMCA gives you access to a vibrant community where you can connect with new friends and neighbors who share your interests and values.

Research shows that those who exercise with friends are much more likely to reach their health and wellness goals and stay consistent. More importantly, social interaction is good for brain health! The YMCA offers a wide range of sports and activities, including swim team, gymnastics, karate, and other adult and youth sports.
